How do I get a backup code for Google's 2-Step Verification?

In order to get a backup code for Google's 2-Step Verification, you must already be enrolled. If you are not enrolled, call the helpdesk. 812-462-4401 ext. 11999.

Log in to your Google account.

From any Google page (eg: email, drive, classroom), click on the profile circle with initial, photo, emoji at the upper right corner of the screen.

Click the Manage your Google Account button.

Open the Security tab on the left side of the screen (sometimes found on the top when using a phone).

Find How you sign in to Google and look for Backup codes.

There are (ten) 8 digit codes that can be used one time each. New codes can be generated if needed.
