How do I get a backup code for Google's 2-Step Verification?

In order to get a backup code for Google's 2-Step Verification, you must already be enrolled. If you are not enrolled, call the helpdesk. 812-462-4401 ext. 11999.

_ *Log in *_ to your Google account.

From any _ *Google *_ page (eg: email, drive, classroom), click on the _ *profile circle *_ with initial, photo, emoji at the upper right corner of the screen.

Click the _ *Manage your Google Account *_ button.

Open the _ *Security *_ tab on the left side of the screen (sometimes found on the top when using a phone).

Find _ How you sign in to Google _ and look for _ Backup codes._

There are (ten) 8 digit codes that can be used one time each. New codes can be generated if needed.
